This is the Year 2022 and we hope that by knowing what we all should do and what is expected of us we will be able to have our meetings as planned.

Hello everyone

With our revised plan, issued by the SA Government on 5 August 2021, we are back to 40 persons plus staff in the Clubrooms.

According to requirements the current CCC Covid plan is on display in the CCC rooms.

Stay warm and stay safe and don’t forget to wear your mask when attending cub meetings in the CCC rooms, as well recording you attendance via as the QR Sign in or manual sign in sheets, and to observe social distancing.

Kind regards

28 July 2021 - New COVID-Safe Plan for our clubrooms due to recent SA lock down.

As expected numbers are down.
We can now have 20 people excluding staff; however masks are mandatory and of course social distancing, 1 person per 4 square metres as per the requirements, also QR code’s and sanitising and not attending if unwell.

The committee will advise  whether the AAA Club can or should hold their August meetings.  But as we are all aware things could change over night.

I will forward any new developments as soon as I can.
We are in South Australia and we are all doing our best to stay safe and well.

Keep up the good work.

With kind regards

MARCH 2021 UPDATE - YOUR REQUIREMENTS AROUND QR CODES HAVE BEEN UPDATED

On 17 February, the rules around the use of COVID Safe Check-In QR Codes have changed slightly in response to community feedback.

The following new rules now apply in addition to the current rules about QR Codes.

1. You must ensure, to the extent possible in your circumstances, that all people check in on entry to your venue.

This gives the contact tracers the greatest accuracy of when potentially infectious people may have been present.
To do this, people need to check in on entry or as soon as they reasonably can after entering, rather than on check-out or exit.
For example, they should do so once they have taken their seat at a restaurant or café, or use QR codes located further in the business to avoid people congregating at the door.

2. You must ensure that your contact tracing records are kept in a way that reduces the risk of them being copied, photographed, taken or used by any person other than an authorised officer.

The above refers to your back-up tracing records, that is, the ones you have available for people who cannot use your QR Codes. This may mean positioning your sign-in sheets in plain view of staff, or having individual check-in slips available that can be placed in a secure tin or box. This also means that any copies must be kept safe and secure, and away from the general public. You must also ensure that you regularly remove sign-in logs and store them safely for 28 days.

3. You must ensure that no-one else copies, photographs, takes or uses these records (other than an authorised officer).

You as a business cannot use the records for promotional purposes or any other reason. If you do so, you may face a fine.

FEBRUARY 2021 UPDATES to our CLUB COVID SAFE PLAN

While the Marion Council has advised that for the foreseeable future the Clarke Hall will not be available to the AAA Club for meetings.

The good news is with the present SA Health Covid Level the Combined Car Club Rooms are able to hold a maximum of 40 persons to accommodate social distancing.

This means that our Club can use the CCC Rooms for our General Meetings which will be resumed to the usual monthly schedule. Meetings are conditional to the following Covid protocols:

: Members/Visitors to Sign-on to site using QR code wherever displayed, or, complete the Government Tracing Sheet using your own biro.
: Shared food is banned . Any refreshments to be as per a Covid approved plan
: The kitchen is only able to be accessed by two parties
: One person can enter the facility to access our store room only.
: The Public Toilets on the Glandore grounds are the only toilets available

The number of persons allowed in the club rooms is right on the limit as to how many members on average attend our General Meetings. So, with this in mind, the Committee has agreed that we should, from February onward, resume our usual meetings.

We look forward our members re-engaging with the Club.

These above changes impact our existing COVID PLAN below:

CLUB COVID SAFE PLAN as at 3rd July 2020

Your committee has been keeping a close eye on the developments around the relaxation of social activities associated to the roll back of COVID-19 restrictions.

As everyone knows, this has been a dynamic situation with several large strides forward to resuming a more “normal” life for us all. We held a committee meeting at Glandore on Friday 3rd July to lock in the Club’s position and to determine a restart plan.

All businesses, clubs and organisations must have a COVID Safe Plan to resume their activities, or parts thereof. These plans are registered with SA Health and subject to random audit. The plan must encompass a corporate action plan and the salient points from this must be brought to the attention of all engaged parties to outline their responsibilities.

This step is the first that must be taken. In navigating this, it became clear that the Glandore Community Centre, Glandore Rooms (our Clubrooms); Is controlled by the Combined Car Clubs (Glandore) Inc. for all clubs who meet there and they had to prepare and present a COVID Safe Plan. Their plan was lodged to SA. Health and once validated was forwarded to the City of Marion for their approval, the responsible entity for the Glandore Community Centre complex and therefore is also subject to the council’s risk assessments. As the Adelaide Antique Automobile Club is effectively a tenant of the CCC we are bound by their plan.

Therefore our obligation falls to ensure our members conduct themselves in accordance with the Member Responsibilities detailed in this magazine. Please become familiar with this. Its all plain language and common sense and will not be a surprise to anyone.

The CCC plan allows only 19 persons to be present within the Glandore Rooms at any time. There are also extensive mandatory hygiene expectations for use of the facility.

The Club Rooms can accommodate committee meetings in the main area, with hygiene provisions observed and completing the mandatory “Contract Tracing Record – Attendance at Public Activities” form whenever using the Clubrooms.

With regard to runs starting or being held at Glandore the following is to be noted:

-Shared food is banned
-The BBQ is closed
-The kitchen is closed
-The Public Toilets on the Glandore grounds are the only facilities available
-One person only can enter the facility to access our storeroom.

One or two persons using social distancing can access any equipment requiring removal from the rooms and return cleaned to the rooms.

An additional and mandatory contact tracing forms will require signing by all attendees, along with the Clubs usual Run Sheet for drivers to sign.

The Member Responsibilities include the need for participants to observe social distancing protocols.

This will include using your own biro to sign the run sheet and tracing record, and to use the club supplied sanitisers etc as needed.

Clearly this means that, at this time, the club is unable to resume General Meetings. The AGM will also be deferred until other options become available.

However, it is possible to meet at the Club Rooms and hold outside events, or sign on to commence Club Runs from here.

While some of these points seem arduous I am sure everyone will have seen them before. These are becoming part of our “Normal”. Its up to everyone to stop the spread.

President's Message for February 2021 - COVID UPDATE

The Marion Council has advised that for the foreseeable future the Clarke Hall will not be available to the AAA Club for meetings.

President's Covid Message for December 2020

As everyone knows Covid-19 has been a dynamic situation with some large strides forward and a couple of side steps added.

Our Club is registered with SA Health for a COVID-19 Plan and this keeps the club well informed of the expectations for meetings, gatherings and the like.

On 1st December we received our QR Code which is unique to the AAA Club and should be scanned by members when signing on for the Club Run Sheets. This is the preferred tracking system implemented by SA Health.

Members are encouraged to visit the SA Health COVID-19 Page and download the SA COVID-19 Tracking App. The link will take you directly to the App Store relevant to your type of device and allow you to download it. After the first use you have a 30 second verification step and after that it recognises all SA Health COVID-19 QR symbols and will receipt you for each site sign in. It is free, efficient and the best way we can eliminate Covid-19 from our state and return to a new “normal”.

The AAA COVID-19 Plan is based around our use of the Clarke Hall at Glandore which is larger than the CCC Room and at present allows 40 persons inside with social distancing of 1 per 4 metres. Moving forward at this stage we plan to use the Clarke Hall for General Meetings where possible

Like us, the CCC have a plan for the Combine Car Club Rooms and subsequently they also have a unique QR Code. Due to room size their plan allows only 20 persons to be present within the Glandore Rooms at any time. The CCC Club Rooms can accommodate committee meetings in the main area, with hygiene provisions observed.

Depending on the nature of the gathering or meeting we will display the AAA code or the CCC code as needed. As restrictions are lifted we expect the numbers for each plan to gradually increase.

With regard to all meetings, gatherings and runs starting the following is to be noted:

Sign-on to site using QR code wherever displayed.
Shared food is banned
The BBQ is closed to general use unless part of a COVID-19 sanctioned plan
The kitchen is only able to be accessed by two parties
One person can enter the facility to access our store room only.
The Public Toilets on the Glandore grounds are the only toilets available

The time demands to maintain the Covid-19 status is very significant. Any changes that are made on the media are followed up usually by email to the registered responsible party who then needs read, understand its impact, establish means to implement the regime and share the findings.

I highly commend Brian and Cynthia Davey who are managing this on behalf of the CCC as they also share all relevant data with the CCC “Family” as soon as updates occur, which is very frequent.
